Breaking News – Rossi to race F1 Belgian Grand Prix

Facebooktwitter

Marussia F1 team has just announced that their recently appointed reserve driver, Alexander Rossi, will replace Max Chilton at this weekend’s Belgian Grand Prix, becoming the first US driver to start an F1 race since Scott Speed in 2007.

Skip Barber graduate Rossi recently left the backmarker Caterham team to join Marussia, who gained two valuable points in Monaco earlier this year. He has been tipped as a possible future driver for the Gene Haas led future US based F1 team.

Time will tell whether this is a one race deal or whether he will be able to race in the US Grand Prix.
