Facebooktwitter

Spencer Pigot drove for Juncos Racing in Pro Mazda and won the championship!  Here are Spencer’s answers:

1. Who is spencerpigotyour toughest competitor on the track?

This year my toughest competitor was Scott Hargrove. He was quick at every track and we had some good battles.

2. Outside of motorsports, what is your favorite sport to watch?

Soccer is by far my favorite sport after racing. I’m a huge Manchester United fan and will watch a soccer game any chance I get.

3. In regards to racing, what is the biggest lesson you learned in 2014?

The biggest lesson I learned was to just keep pushing no matter what. Even if you’re ahead by a lot in the championship always to try extend the gap because you never know what can happen in racing. One race can totally change your season for better or worse so no matter what always push as hard as you can.

4. What is the coolest thing a fan has ever done for you?

One lady came up to the tent and handed me her baby to hold and then asked to a picture with it. I’m not sure that’s necessarily cool but it was pretty funny at the time. I was pretty confused for a second!

5. What is your favorite race track and why?

I get asked that question a lot and I don’t really have an answer. I’ve be able to drive on so many great tracks. But I’d say St. Petersburg is up there, it’s my favorite street course. I love the track and the atmosphere of the event. Barber Motorsports Park and Mosport are probably tied for my favorite track. They both have lots of elevation changes, really quick corners and some great sections.
