Today, Open-Wheels would like to introduce the MYLAPS Indy Elite Series and Triptacular Memories as official partners for the inaugural Open-Wheels.com 500 Mile Race. Triptacular Memories will serve as an associate sponsor for the event while the MYLAPS Indy Elite Series will sponsor the Front Runner Award.
“I am excited to finally announce our extended partnership with Joe Branch and the respected entities he oversees – the ultra-competitive MYLAPS Indy Elite Series, and Triptacular Memories, a company that helps families create incredible experiences,” said Tanner Watkins, owner of Open-Wheels and the president of the Open-Wheels.com 500 Mile Race.
The MYLAPS Indy Elite Series, which will run a fall 2019 championship for the first time beginning this August, features some of the most exciting and authentic competition found on the iRacing platform. Last week, Open-Wheels and the MYLAPS Indy Elite Series announced a coverage partnership to provide content for both the fall 2019 and summer 2020 championships.
The MYLAPS Indy Elite Series Front Runner Award will present each of the three drivers who qualify on the front row for the Open-Wheels.com 500 Mile Race with a prize of $10.
“As owner and promoter of the MYLAPS Indy Elite Series, I am excited to partner again with Open-Wheels.com for their first 500-mile race this fall,” said Joe Branch. “After Open-Wheels covered our Indy 500, last year I have been looking forward to anything that they do because when they do things, they do it big!
“When I saw the sponsorship options I knew I had to find something that stood out as ‘Elite,’ and the Front Runner Award does exactly that!”
Furthermore, Triptacular Memories has arranged for the company to be an associate sponsor for the inaugural Open-Wheels.com 500 Mile Race. The 2019 Open-Wheels.com 500 Mile Race will be held on Sunday, November 17 on the popular iRacing Motorsport Simulations platform. The entry form for interested drivers will open on October 1, and Opening Day of practice will be held on November 3. Qualifications weekend will be held on November 9 and 10.
