The highly-anticipated release of details towards the INDYCAR Pass on NBC Sports Gold has occurred today with the series’ new television partner opening an early bird sale.
Boasting the option to watch every practice and qualifying session live, plus the ability to watch races on-demand after the event has concluded, the INDYCAR Pass on NBC Sports’ Gold platform will cost fans $49.99 (early bird pricing) for this 2019 season. After the early bird sale concludes on March 10, the price will increase to $54.99.
“Having NBC Sports Gold as an option for INDYCAR fans who want to consume all of INDYCAR and engage more deeply with the sport is really exciting for us this year, particularly given the high-quality production NBC Sports will bring to it,” said Mark Miles, CEO of Hulman & Company, which owns INDYCAR and Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
“This is our first opportunity to present the sport this way. INDYCAR Pass on NBC Sports Gold is a great complement to watching the NTT IndyCar Series on television, either on NBC or NBCSN. It really is another format that we think will make us that much more accessible and that much more exciting, especially to our hard-core fans.”
In addition to the ability to watch every practice and qualifying session of the 2019 NTT IndyCar Series season live online, NBC Sports will provide extended coverage of the 103rd Indianapolis 500 with coverage of practices between May 14 and 18, qualifications on May 18, Miller Lite Carb Day on May 24, and even the Red Carpet festivities on race day, Sunday, May 26.
Over 50 hours of programming is planned for the month of May at Indianapolis.
Furthermore, each round of the 2019 Indy Lights championship will be shown live on NBC Sports Gold with purchase of the INDYCAR Pass. The subscription period will last from February 7, 2019 to January 31, 2020 – and will auto-renew prior to the start of the next season.
It is expected that each session will be fully-produced shows with commentary provided by NBC’s deep pool of on-air talent, which will include Leigh Diffey, Paul Tracy, Townsend Bell and more.
Also important to note is that the INDYCAR Pass is only available for purchase in the United States. Fans can learn more about the package and make a purchase by visiting its home page here. The INDYCAR Pass on NBC Sports Gold is available on Apple iOS, Android, Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast and online at NBCSportsGold.com.
