In a statement released by INDYCAR this morning, Schmidt Peterson Motorsports rookie Robert Wickens successfully underwent surgery on Monday evening to “stabilize a thoracic spinal fracture associated with a spinal cord injury” from Sunday’s ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway.
