With just 83 days until the inaugural running of the Open-Wheels.com 500 Mile Race presented by Mitchell Transmissions, the site would like to announce that Tojo’s Smoke Me Tender BBQ has joined the fray as a race partner in support of the event.

“Today I have the joy of announcing Tojo’s Smoke Me Tender BBQ as a partner of the inaugural Open-Wheels.com 500 Mile Race, and that is a special honor for me,” said Tanner Watkins, the owner and editor of Open-Wheels.com and the president of the Open-Wheels.com 500 Mile Race presented by Mitchell Transmissions.

“To collaborate with Tod Goble – a friend of the Edwards County community, whose sons I have known personally for multiple years – is very cool. His passion and support of auto racing – in various forms – is what helped bring this partnership to live, and I thank him for that.”

Tojo’s Smoke Me Tender BBQ is run by the aforementioned Goble, who has been smoking various meats for years on his larger-than-life smoker. Goble’s creations have won awards at various shows around the Midwest, and his food is revered around Edwards County, Illinois.

“BBQ and racing go hand in hand – that’s why we here at Tojo’s Smoke Me Tender BBQ are one of the proud sponsors of the Open-Wheels.com 500 Mile Race,” said Goble. “Located in West Salem, Illinois, we are a competition BBQ team that also caters your favorite events.”
