On iRacing, the action never stops despite the cold winter temperatures being thrown at the United States this time of the year. And while the 2019 fall championship is winding down for the Indy Elite Series, the veteran IndyCar league is already heating up for 2020.
Entering its sixth season of competition, the Indy Elite Series has announced that the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Kokomo, Indiana will be the new title sponsor. Additionally, SYMTV will return to covering Indy Elite action for 2020 – continuing a partnership already in place.
“The 2020 season plans to be the biggest season yet with a great new sponsor and a local flare from Central Indiana,” said Joe Branch, the owner of the Indy Elite Series.
“I am beyond excited to have The Coca Cola Bottling Company of Kokomo as a title sponsor! I can’t wait to get the new season underway and for the competition to be fierce.”
The 2020 Indy Elite Series season will begin on January 5 with the season-opening race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. In all, the championship will be comprised of 12 rounds that features eight oval races and four road/street course events. All races will be contested on the popular iRacing Motorsports Simulations platform.
The season culminates in the Indy Elite Series Indianapolis 500 on May 3, capping what is sure to be an ultra-competitive season of IndyCar racing on iRacing. This comes after the conclusion of the 2019 fall championship hosted by the Indy Elite Series, which runs its finale this weekend at Auto Club Speedway.
Drivers interested in competing in the 2020 Indy Elite Series season may register via the iRacing forums following Sunday’s fall championship finale. Make sure to tune into the season-ending POWERADE Championship this Sunday, live on SYM TV at 7:00 PM Eastern.
