We are inching closer and closer to the inaugural Open-Wheels.com 500 Mile Race on November 17 – but that doesn’t mean the new sponsor announcements are slowing down! Today, Open-Wheels is proud to announce Stephanie Lamb Glass Art of the latest associate sponsor for the 2019 race.

Stephanie’s company joins Doug Raber State Farm, the Lionheart Racing Series, and Triptacular Memories as announced associate partners for the 2019 race – and a list of nearly 20 presenting sponsors and race partners for the inaugural event.

“To involve an individual like Stephanie and her incredibly creative glass art business with the inaugural Open-Wheels.com 500 Mile Race is a treat,” said Tanner Watkins, the owner and editor of Open-Wheels.com and the president of the Open-Wheels.com 500 Mile Race presented by Mitchell Transmissions.

“Stephanie’s selection and attention to detail for flameworked glass art is second-to-none – where you can purchase items such as a colorful snail, an eye-catching wine bottle stopper, various sculptures, and even perfume dabbers! By visiting her site on Etsy, there is truly something for everyone.”

Stephanie Lamb Glass Art offers a variety of unique, handmade objects including bottle stoppers, collector marbles, small sculptures, and pendant necklaces. Lamb’s passion for working with glass is driven by the elements of both science and artistic creativity that are integral to each of her pieces.

She works primarily with borosilicate glass, melting rods with a torch and adding colors made with metals and mineral oxides to create a vivid palette. Her work is heavily inspired by nature, but also integrates playful colors and intricate patterns.

As a race fan herself, Lamb looks forward to the thrills of the Open-Wheels 500 just as she does the annual 500-mile race each Memorial Day weekend.

“The Open-Wheels.com 500 Mile Event is a great opportunity to bring a classic experience to the sim racing community,” adds Lamb. “It’s exciting to have an opportunity to be a sponsor in the first year of what I hope to see turn into a tradition. I’m thoroughly impressed by the amount of effort and detail put into creating an entire virtual schedule that both participants and spectators are sure to enjoy.

“As a lifelong open-wheel fan in a sim racing household, I look forward to watching both the race and the events leading up to it. I grew up near Indy and this feels almost like the real thing! (Can you please work on pork tenderloin sandwich logistics for next year?)”

Every piece sold by Lamb is handmade with care and quality, offered to you directly by the artist. Whether you’re looking for a piece of art to last a lifetime, or searching for the perfect gift, Stephanie Lamb Glass Art has many wonderful one-of-a-kind options!
