The Majors joins Open-Wheels 500 as multi-faceted partner in 2020

For the 2020 Open-Wheels 500 presented by Mitchell Transmissions, Open-Wheels Motorsports Sanctioning is proud to announce The Majors as a multi-dimensional partner.

This partnership includes the Majors Series joining as the presenting sponsor for Open-Wheels TV broadcasts while the Majors Garage becomes the official setup shop of the Open-Wheels 500.

“A week out from Opening Day, we couldn’t be more excited to announce The Majors as one of our core partners for the 2020 Open-Wheels 500,” said Tanner Watkins, president of the Open-Wheels 500 presented by Mitchell Transmissions.

“Mike Ouellette is one of the most dedicated, hard-working members of the iRacing community and we are so thankful that he indicated an interest to partner with our event. The Majors Series is a fantastic championship to participate in and the Majors Garage gives drivers an opportunity to compete in each race a driver enters, so Mike’s contributions to sim racing are numerous.

“We look forward to working with Mike through the 2020 month of November and beyond, linking two influential brands in the iRacing open-wheel community.”

For Ouellette, the opportunity to partner with the Open-Wheels 500 in 2020 was all about matching a big-time brand with a big-time sim race.

“The Majors is thrilled to be a supporter of the Open-Wheels 500,” said Ouellette. “The Majors Series is all about paying tribute to the world’s biggest races and so it a natural match to be involved with the Open-Wheels 500.

“The Majors Garage provides setups for 44 cars on the iRacing service, including and most importantly for this race, the Dallara IR-18. Liam Quinn is the IndyCar Crew Chief at the Majors Garage and last year’s Open-Wheels 500 runner up. While he looks to move up to the top step this year, he has put together some solid setup packages for this race that any competitor can grab.”

The Majors Garage provides setups for a variety of cars on the iRacing service, including the Dallara IR-18 Indy car. Free baseline setups are available for drivers, as well as more advanced qualifying and race setups in the subscription package. You can learn more by visiting majorsgarage.com.
